Acrylic Textured Mediums and Hand Built Panels
I use building and carpentry materials to create abstract land work. I layer, scrape, and rework surfaces until something alive emerges. The images grow from memories shaped by daily drives around the state, repeated passes by the same scenes, and fractured by multitasking, shaped more by physical process than polished representation.
Directions to Studio:
From McMinnville, Head 4 miles South on 99W to Wilson. turn right onto River Bend Road and cross two sets of railroad tracks. Continue for 3 miles, turn left on the first gravel road, which is Hook and Eye Lane. Follow South for 3 miles to three white buildings on the right of the road, my studio.
From Amity, From Hwy 99W, turn West on 5th Street, cross the bridge, then turn right at Lancefield Road. Continue on the gravel road for 2 miles, cross the railroad tracks. The studio is on the left.
